The Mens shed is open to anyone over the age of 18. We have over 60 members many of which have been referred to us via mental health services.
What we do. Our mission statement is to provide a safe place for you to meet others and to allow you to build friendships and learn new skills that get you out of the house.
How do we do this
Premises
First by providing a well-appointed premise which you will find welcoming.
Tea & Coffee
We have all you can use tea, coffee and biscuits.
Fry-days
We usually have something to eat (a fry) on a Friday for a small sum)
Trips
Going on trips on 3-6 occasions per year.
Courses

Equipment

Please don’t worry if you are not already skilled. We provide training and familiarisation on all of the equipment as well as materials. You can take these skills to whatever level suit you.
We are open Monday to Friday 10am – 1:30pm
Membership is £15 per month.
Whilst we like everyone to enjoy themselves and participate we also ensure that everyone is treated with respect. We therefore do not appreciate shouting and arguing political or religious discussion and anything representing sectarianism (football jerseys, emblems etc). We appreciate and respect culture but we also realise that many have differing views of aspects of that culture. We want ALL to be welcome.
Our Committee
The club is managed by a management committee consisting of the Trustees and an operational committee consisting a number committee members representing all of the various elements that make up the shed.
